road trip expose

4:23 p.m. @ 22.08.02

The Mexico trip. No offense to anyone who went, but I almost went crazy. Picture this: Six girls in one car for four straight hours. Four of those girls have PMS (and I'm not one of them, but that doesn't stop me from getting angry.) I knew the trip would be bad as soon as I put a Gillian Welch cd in, and someone said, "Can we change it to something else?" not five minutes later. Is there anything worse than a road trip with no good music? I thought not, but I was wrong. Enter the guys.

Two annoying guys are in the other car (this was supposed to be a girl trip!), and I cannot express how annoying they are. Both of them are coming on the trip so that they can meet girls. One of them is attractive and knows it. The other cannot keep his mouth closed. And my roommate cannot stop flirting with him. I wanted to kill myself.

I'm an easy-going person, but this bunch of people seriously bugged the crap out of me. May I never road trip with them again.

Speaking of road trips, I'm afraid the Austin music festival may be off. :( I really want to go, and I still may, but the main reason I may not go is family. I only get a certain number of days off, and if I'm short on days, family wins over Ryan Adams, hands down. Ryan Adams is a close second, though. Mmmmm.

So I'm applying to grad school this week, which is why I haven't updated much. And because I'm TIRED. I'm all the time tired, no matter what I do. I've tried getting 8+ hours of sleep, but I still want a nap at lunch. I tried exercising, but that only made me need to go to bed two hours earlier than usual. Maybe I'm not giving the whole sleep more and exercise thing a chance (it's only this week that I tried it), but is it normal to feel tired all the time? Does anyone else? What can I do?

Lifeblood, over and out.
