conrad birdie stays

4:07 p.m. @ Friday, Nov. 30, 2001

In response to my new and somewhat hostile stance toward my birdie, (and I'm only kidding about it, mostly. I tend to have a love/hate relationship with most animals. I should have thought of that before I purchased him. I was focused too much on the love aspect, and now the hate part is kicking in.) a co-worker on whom I have a crush, e-mailed me about it. Nice to know he cares. Too bad he has a live-in girlfriend--I'm guessing nothing will ever come of my crush. But anyway:

"It's all part of living together. Trust me on this one. Just stick in there and all will be okay in due time. The bird is young and is developing its personality.

I've been through the same process with roommates and pets alike. It's all the same, and if you think about it, you'll see the similarities in your own experiences with roommates and possibly your pets (though I don't know if you've ever had pets). Please don't give up on birdie!"

Okay! I won't give up on him. Yet. Anyone in the market for new, lovable pet?

And by the way, I'm still waiting for your automobile ideas for me. Mr. Levski is the only one who has deemed my survey worthy of a response. He despises American cars and recommends a Nissan Sentra. Anyone else?

Happy weekend. It's Friday!
